Hardware requirements

  1. Entry level server dedicated to NEOSYS
  2. 1 GB RAM
  3. 80 GB HDD
  4. No RAID

Software requirements

  1. Windows 2008 Standard Edition preferred - 32 bit (not 64bit). Windows 2003 Standard Edition could be used, but not advised.
  2. Configured with two partitions on the hard disk (C & D)
  3. Configured as a workgroup and not as part of a domain
  4. No roles assigned for the server (eg DNS or DHCP or FILE SERVER)
  5. All service packs and updates applied (except no IE7 & IE8 incase of Windows 2003)
  6. No Anti-Virus or any other program loaded
  7. Copy the Windows CD or i386 folder to the C Drive
  8. Configured with an internal static IP (ie dynamic IP delivered by DHCP is not allowed)

Backup requirements

  1. 3 x 4 GB USB drives for backup
  2. Someone to change the USB drives on a scheduled basis (weekly or daily)

Router requirements

  1. Username and password for the router / or someone who can configure port forwarding / virtual server configuration for SSH on port 19580.
  2. Outgoing access to the internet on port 2500 OR access to send email via an internal email server.
